3.10 Balloting by Disciplined Forces and Non-Resident Electors.

Casting of Ballots by Disciplined Forces Electors
The Representation of the People Act, Cap. 1:03 prescribes the procedure for balloting by members of the Disciplined Forces. In accordance with Section 65 H of Cap. 1:03, the Election Commission, by order, specifies the Guyana Defence Force, Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Prison Service as disciplined forces to cast their ballots in advance of Election Day.

Casting of Ballots by Non-Resident Electors
The Representation of the People Act, Cap. 1:03 prescribes the procedure for voting by Non-Resident Electors. The Act states that the preliminary list of Non-Resident Electors shall consist of the names of every elector not residing in Guyana. These include an Ambassador or High Commissioner, the wife, husband or child/children of an Ambassador or High Commissioner, a member of staff of an Embassy or High Commission and the wife, husband or child/children of a member of staff of an Embassy or High Commission of Guyana.
