GECOM's Voter Education efforts aim to inspire Guyanese to cast their ballots at elections by producing and disseminating materials that will provide election specific information and motivational messages to citizens of as they prepare to participate at elections. Normally, a two-pronged approach consisting of a series of information campaigns and a parallel voter outreach project is undertaken. the information campaign includes activities such as collection of Identification Cards with the use of a variety of printed materials (posters/flyers), radio and television spots and newspapers advertisements. The voter Outreach Project involves a civic education campaign and provides for a grassroots approach targeting voters who do not necessarily have access to the mass media.
